Congrats!

Congrats to me for my 10th post!

I know it’s not much but I’m still excited (: I want to thank you all for checking out my blog and for the welcoming, and Lea, thanks a million girl, you’re awesome!

Since I’m new in Blogland, I’ve decided to ‘host’ a little and silly questionnaire to get to know all of you a little better and for you to get to know me as well.

The rules are simple:

1. Post these questions (with your own answers) on your blog.

2. Come back and leave a comment with the link back to your post.

3. Answer the questions as honestly as possible.

4. Have fun!

(If you don’t have a blog, just leave a comment with the answers!)

Let's start this thing then!

Foremost, what’s your name? I'm Hilda! :)

What is your favourite word and why? This is my own question and I don't know the answer myself. I'm loving the word 'Mental' this week though.

What is the hardest word for you to pronounce? Murder - Murderer. Murdered. English is not my first language and the noun 'murder' is really hard to pronounce.

If you had to choose one meal to eat for the rest of your life, what would it be? (Includes one drink): Arepa stuffed with cheddar cheese, butter and friend egg. (Arepa is a typical Venezuelan meal) As for the drink, strawberry milkshake!

If you had to choose one book to read for the rest of your life, which would it be? (I know, I’m mean!): I don't think I can choose only one book. But I'll pick one just for the sake of the question. Pleasure Unbound. Though my favourite character from the Demonica series is Wraith, Pleasure Unbound has a special place in my heart because it was the book that introduced me to Larissa's work.

Hypothetical scene: You’re invited to a huge party where all your favourite authors are going to be at, but you are only allowed to speak to one of them. Who would you choose to talk to and why? I'm still deciding between Larissa Ione (bet you didn't see that one coming!) and Charlaine Harris. Larissa is obviously a better writer, but I'm intrigued by Charlaine Harris. I really don't know how CH gets so many ideas so fast! I think she was truly born to be a writer. But Larissa's books are so original and the plots are so amazing. Gosh. Tough pick.

We know you like blogging, but what else do you enjoy doing? Well, I love reading as most of you, if not all, do. I also love writing and am an aspiring novelist. *crosses fingers* I play the guitar, though I'm not very good at it. I love love love watching TV shows people! I have over 90GB in TV shows =O And I greatly enjoy antagonizing my cat :)

Do you speak any other language? If so, which one? If not, would you like to learn one? Spanish is my mother tongue, so I speak English as a second language. I also know Portuguese and a little Mandarin (lived in China for a year - Moving back on Monday!) I'm currently trying to learn Swedish, which has become a passion. Though my primarily one is English.

Hypothetical scene N˚2: You’re trapped in a dark room, haven’t eaten for days and are starting to stink. Your only salvation lays within ten feet from you. It’s a huge spider (Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets size) with the key to the door hanging from its neck. Do you go get it or do you doom yourself to death? I'm sure you will be disappointed to know that I would doom myself to death. That is if I'm not dead already given the fact that I'm arachnophobic. I've got spiders themselves to blame for giving me hard times when I was a kid. Rawrrr.

If you could move anywhere in the world and be given tons of money in that specific monetary unit, where would you go and why? Though I'm not so secretly obsessed with England, I would move to the US. It's my biggest dream and I can't wait to put both my feet on North American land!

So that’s it. Ten questions for my tenth post. Hope you like them!

Bite On,

Hilda

  6. I wanna play! This looks like fun.

I admire those who can speak another language. To me that is one of the best talents a person can have! I tilt my hat off to you! Just awesome!

  7. Looking forward to reading your answers, Donna!

Thanks! I think learning languages is one of the few things I'm good at. At least I'm good at learning languages I love. I suck at Mandarin, I just don't like it! *_*

  8. Hi Hilda,

    I posted my meme! Here

I'm just slightly jealous of your knack for learning languages. I wish I could do the same.

I hope you enjoy your weekend!

  9. Awesome, I'm gonna go read it right now!

Oh, I'm pretty sure you can learn any language if you set your mind to it. I learned English by myself... It took me a whole year and a lot of commitment to it but I finally did it! And it's not too shabby, is it? ;)

I hope you enjoy your weekend as well!
